Computer Down

Hey All, gotten a lot of questions as to why I'm not posting....my computer is sick and is in the hospital. I hope to have it back by Sunday or Wednesday of next week and then I'll be back up and running. So, don't kick my blog to the curb! I'll be back!

Cardboard Testimonies

My New Ride

Got a new car finally after mine was totaled a few weeks ago! It's a Kia Rio. I'm very excited about it - the gas mileage is great! Theo helped me find it so I'm very grateful to my bro-in-law! It looks red in these pics, but actually it's a burnt Orange color!

Farewell, Lachneys

My friend Christi is leaving today to move to Ohio. I sure will miss her and those sweet babies. I tell her all the time that everytime I see Leah, I just have to laugh because she is SO much Christi's mini-me! I wish them well in their new journey but hope someday they'll hurry home! Terri Smith made these beautiful cakes. I love that she put the names of all of our church families on this cake.....how cool is that!??

GCC Father's Day Tie Contest

Yesterday was Father's Day and at Grace Community every year we have a tie contest. The family creates the tie for Dad, and then at church the kids vote on who has the best one. There are categories ties can win in......let me just tell you we have some very creative families in our church! Instead of trying to describe the ties, I'll let them speak for themselves....enjoy!

My firm took pictures during our employee appreciation dinner. This is me with some of my co-workers. Aside from the fact that I have a star coming out of my head, I think it's a great picture! It wasn't planned, but we're all kinda dressed in the same colors...pretty cool! I think that Mike secretly thinks he's "all that" because he is in a picture surrounded by womean. Men...sheesh!

Terah Turns Sixteen!

I still can't believe it. I cannot grasp that this sweet baby is already driving. How did that happen? Seems impossible! We had Terah's sweet 16 party along with her purity ceremony. Enjoy the pics!

Best Gas Mileage Web Site

Since I had a wreck a couple of weeks ago that totaled my car, I am now forced to buy a new one. I really liked my Tracker, but I do see this as an opportunity to get something a little more gas efficient since I have to drive so far both ways to/from work. If you are also in the process of thinking about a new car, here is a website that may help you decide what you're looking for. With gas prices above $4.00 in some places, I just cannot think of buying a car that will not be fuel efficient. Johnnie Seago's Book Release Party!

Sunday night Johnnie and Ted threw a book release party for all who helped her in getting this book out, editors, artwork and book cover designers, photographers, etc. We had a blast! Several awards were given, the Biblios Deo Gloria Awards - so without further adieu - here are the awards! (Some people who helped were missing but will get their awards at a later day.

I'm so proud of my sister, I could bust! She is now the author of "A Wonderful Life: Faith, Reason, Sacrifice." The finished products came in on Friday and we had a book signing party tonight! I will put the pictures from the party up tomorrow, but I wanted to get a picture of the author up tonight! Wooooohoooooo! You Go, Johnnie!

The Graduate

My nephew, John granduated from Southeastern Seminary this weekend. I'm awfully proud of him! He will be getting his Master's at the Univesity of Dallas beginning this fall. It sure will be great to have him a lot closer to home!

John and Brandy are engaged! It's Official!

WoooHooooooo! The ring is on her hand! This is the moment we've all been waiting for. Soon we'll have a new Seago (I suspect she's been a Seago all along, and got here as fast as she could!) and we can't wait! Brandy is an incredible, beautiful, Godly, funny, energetic young woman who will be an incredible asset to the family.

It is my understanding that he took her to Duke Chapel, a gothic cathedral in Durham, gave her a Bible engraved with "Brandy Lynn Seago," talked with her about marriage, and then asked her to read from Ephesians. When she turned to that Scripture, there was the ring, tied to the Bible marker. I know all the girls are thinking of how romantic that is! Go, John!

John has had a banner month! Just this month, he has had a birthday, graduated, gotten accepted to Edinburgh in Scotland, and gotten engaged! Of course, he will not attend Edinburgh right now...I don't think they could stand to be away from each other for that long or that far! He will get his Master's at the University of Dallas and then get his Ph.D. in Edinburgh. So, we'll soon be planning a wedding! Congratulations, John and Brandy!

Scott & Terah Meet Their Birth Mom

The last time Scott and Terah saw their birth mom was about 15 years ago...Terah would not remember her at all since she IS 15. I'm not sure of how much Scott remembers of her, but what he does remember about that time was not good. Today there was forgiveness, answers to questions (some I'm guessing have never been asked out loud) and reuniting. Birth Mom is very sick, so this meeting could not have come at a better time. They also met their birth sister, Morgan, for the first time. It is the love and mercy of God that allowed this day to be so perfect for both Scott and Terah. I praise God today for second chances.

Emma is Two!!

Well, I can't believe it - Emma is already 2! She's growing so fast! Isn't she beautiful!?

Dedication of Titus

Today was baby dedication at church and there were quite a few babies to dedicate! We love babies at our church and we still have more coming...it is awesome! Rachelle sang Wayne Watson's "Somewhere in the World" to Titus. It really was so beautiful and I think there weren't many dry eyes!

Meet The Newest Drivers!

Scott and Terah both passed their written driving tests this week and now both have permits! I'm sure Mom is doing the happy dance because soon she'll have 'errand runners' and she can have a break from the road!
